For dancers new to magick and magick makers new to dance, this engaging 7-week workshop offers both accessible, meaningful choreography, and the introduction and interweaving of the magickal and spiritual principles, concepts and practices associated with each of the Seven Directions and the overarching seasonal influences.
Tending Spring & Welcoming Summer
As airy springtime arrives, we begin to see the signs of pure possibility and endless potential budding in the trees, flowers and plants all around us, guiding us unerringly to the midpoint between Springtime and Summer, at the first of May.
Tending Summer & Welcoming Autumn
As the heat and Fire Element of Summer just begin to simmer down, we turn our magickal attention to the natural flow of feeling and deep emotion found in the Water Element of Autumn, as it rolls in and washes back out, exploring the balance to be found in giving and receiving, surrendering and letting go.
Tending Autumn & Welcoming Winter
As the shadows grow longer, the days grow shorter, we continue to process the contents of this year’s harvest, and in the gathering darkness, we turn our Magickal attention toward Completion and Integration. Embracing the restorative energies of Winter, Night, North, Earth and Embodiment, we stand, surefooted on our Path, Happy, Healthy, Wealthy and Wise, while stepping into the dreaming time of the Cycle, where spent withered energies give way to vibrant new visions, not yet born.
Tending Winter & Welcoming Spring
While we continue to weather the cold long nights and dark mornings of Winter, the Solstice has nevertheless brought back the Sun, and we turn our Magickal attention to the coming Springtime, just beginning to dawn on the Eastern horizon.
